Post-launch:howtomaintainproduct?

byJakubMisiło

Creating a digital product - whether it's an application, website, or another type, is difficult and time-consuming. After the desired completion of the MVP comes the next phase - what's next? Many founders ask themselves this question.

You had an idea/problem, created a prototype, published an application, gained some users, so you want to develop the product further. Sounds familiar? Well, I've heard many such stories. The question is, what's next?

Feedback and data

A matter trivialized by some, but in my opinion the most important - collect feedback from users - talk, write, ask. You have a unique opportunity to talk with users at an early stage of the product's life. Take advantage of it. Collect data from them, but also use web analytics tools that will allow you to collect data directly from the website/application. Gather everything you can from social media platforms.

All this information will allow you to track progress and evaluate actions over a long period of time.

Refinement and Iteration

After collecting data, the key step is to improve the product. Analyze user behaviors and prioritize iterations based on their potential impact. Testing and refining the product is a continuous cycle of monitoring, collecting feedback, and implementing improvements.

Be ready to make quick decisions - sometimes reverting to a previous version of a feature is the best solution. Always base decisions on data and real user needs.

Long-term marketing

Initially, you want to gather as many people as possible around your product's MVP, often doing it manually. It takes a lot of time, but it's most effective at the beginning, especially if you don't have a large audience on social media.

However, this is not the best long-term solution. Plan your marketing, think about which platforms you'll use, the type of content, the "marketing center" - your landing page, don't forget about SEO, and other important points that may apply only to your product. Experiment, see what works!

Building Community and Scaling

A community not only provides a constant flow of feedback but also promotes loyalty. Use various communication channels to stay in touch with customers. Create valuable content and support community leaders who can drive engagement.

In terms of scaling, watch for signs such as performance issues or a growing customer base. There are two main approaches: vertical (increasing server power) and horizontal (adding new servers). Build a product that works for you, not the other way around. Scaling is a gradual process - small, strategic steps will yield enormous results over time.
